About Douglas Harding

Douglas Harding (1909–2007) was a British philosopher (and architect). His greatest work is 'The Hierarchy of Heaven and Earth––A new diagram of man in the universe'. He also wrote many other books, designed a model of the structure of the universe (the Youniverse Explorer) and invented ‘experiments’ for testing the hypothesis that your central reality (at zero distance) is utterly different from any of your regional appearances (which vary with range). He indicated in his books how the observation that you cannot see your own head is deeply meaningful (his best-known book is On Having No Head), that it makes both scientific sense and corresponds with the traditional mystical view of ‘who we really are’.
