13. DEH Many points of interest: 1. Science has won too well in its war against the divinity of the heavens. Newton & Copernicus won. We must reopen the whole issue. 2. Circular motion of heavens: cf. the fan theory & the rotation theory cards. 3. The concentric sphere scheme is Mabel’s & the stratification of Earth is Mabel’s. 4. The central Earth is Mabel’s. 5. The peculiar composition of stars: … is Mabele’s. 6. And the up down movement is Mabel’s. My cosmology is largely a return to the Aristotelian & the pre-Aristotelian.
Farrington: Aristotle, systemising Plato’s & Pythagoreans’ doctrines, taught that the circular motions of heavenly bodies are proof of their being under control of divine intelligence…
