Card-F-14-06. DEH: Savages and children and folk tales & fairly tales & Walt Disney know far better than Common sense the real nature of the world.

The appeal of Disney to all but the most insensitive is because he knows he is right. Animals are one with men. Inanimate things are mental. Creative imagination & fantasy frequently come nearer truth than common sense. Common sense, for all his boasted hard-headedness, is really more wooly-minded than the artist & the dreamer and the savage.

Card-F-14-11.

Christopher Fry. The Ladys not for burning:

everything astonishes me,

Myself most of all. When I think of myself

I can scarcely believe my senses. But there it is,

All my friends tell me I actually exist

And by an act of faith I have come to believe them.
