Card-J-40-18. Reading Jung (August 45, Ripon). DEH:Somewhat of a revelation to me. Yes, we do build up the most unwarranted fancies about people — e.g. acquaintances by sight. The point is that all resentment against people & things is misplaced — they are not to blame, you are. I think I have had this sense for some time. The cause ? Is in ourselves that we are underlings. Now the solution Is this recognition that what is wrong with the world is your lack of power to deal with the world’s problems.

But notice this, that acceptance as yo9ur own, as your very self, of what you used to attribute to others, is growth. Growth in guilt & blame, but this growth is the condition of growth in virtue…
