Card-M-06-12: DEH (1) Yesterday, the driver blew his horn 3 times to attract my attention. I heard the last as a call to me: the other 2 I looked back on as having merely sensed dimly.
(2) The Darjeeling clock that stopped incident.
(3) I live a lower life all the time. While I am absorbed in higher things, my lower life goes on, subliminally. Here is lovely evidence of the sort of thing that goes on in the deeper levels. The great point is that life on a higher level does not at all stop the lower life, though it does influence it.In higher contemplation-ecstasy the lower kind is not superseded, but existing higher levels are reached.

(4) The above fact that our ordinary waking mind functions normally on at least 2 levels of consciousness is not realised. Very important.
You are all-level all the time… Consciousness illuminates activity in small sections. Like a man going round his office — he doesn’t imagine that the department he has just visited or will visit do not exist, but only that he is now in exists — though they may function a little more energetically while he is there than when he is not!!! This also is true!
