DH: Thus in reply to Russell we can say: the graduated system of changing appearances of the object at different distances from it are all true views of the object. Each view is the object at the level of that view. Appearance is a misleading word. Externally, the object is the whole, and the further you are away from it the truer (because more comprehensive) your view. This is the opposite doctrine to Russell’s. He finds the truth about the object at the Centre — the aura’s innermost ring: I find it at the aura’s outermost circumference — & all the way up to that.
