CS The great difficulty is that your mind, unlike your body, is invisible.

A. But it isnt invisible. I can see your mind — or a good deal of it! It is what you are looking at & if I look at what you see I see your mind. When I talk to you I am listening to your mind  — provided you are attending to me. Incredible that we think mind is private & secret. It is less so than body, of which you show but a superficial fraction. Your mind is spread all around you for all to see & appropriate. As for its being yours: how can you claim what we all share, what makes us one, our common mind-material?

Card-S-06-12

We exchangefaces, appearances. Your body, as symbol of what you are, is in me, & mine in you.

Card-S-06-14 DEH: If you see, or know, a thing it can only be you. You never discover anything but yourself. To see the stars, or to contemplate electrons, is to touch, however lightly, that layer of your being.

You live at every level of yourself. But you have still to find out what you are. All learnings this discovery.

Belief in the One, whom we call God or the Whole (or the Absolute?) is quite incapable of rational justification. It is as unreasonable as your belief in me, & nearly as unreasonable as your belief in yourself.
